Are you familiar with the idea of a Bucket List?
If not, a Bucket List is simply a list of anything you want to do or achieve in your life before you ‘kick the bucket’.
A Bucket List can be something like “100 places to visit before I die” or “101 things to do before I die”. A Bucket List can include anything we want to be, do and have in life. Anything.
I recently decided to create a new, slightly different type of Bucket List; a list of, “100 Things I Want to Share Before I Die”; a compilation of sixty-five years of adventure and learning.
The Time to Share is NOW (for three reasons).
Firstly, to offer hope to others in a time of crisis. As I write this introduction the world is in crisis hit by the double-whammy of a global pandemic and a global economic crisis. Millions of people have been plunged into chaos. My chaos happened during the 2009 global recession and, lessons learned, I was ready for this crisis. Having “been there”, maybe I can offer real hope to those experiencing such a crisis for the first time.
Secondly, to share these ‘things’ before I actually do die (because then it will be too late). Although a healthy and fit 65 year-old, I am very aware that each year that passes, the probability of my dying increases. I don’t want to die with these ‘things’ gathering dust on a flash drive. Time is precious.
Thirdly, to leave a record of life lessons from my time on earth. Maybe my kids will enjoy reading the articles and watching the videos when I am no longer around. Maybe others will too.
Quite a wide range of things.
It’s amazing how much one can pack into a few decades, especially if one tries to live consciously, tries to keep learning and growing and tries not live the same year forty, fifty or sixty times.
I have grouped the ‘Things’ into a few categories such as;
- Personal Life
- Personal Finance
- Community Life
- Small Business
- Spiritual Life
I will start with the Personal Life ‘things’ because they may be most helpful in the current crisi as people come to terms with new realities. I will then proceed ‘as the spirit leads’ (meaning that I don’t have a clue how to plan them out). Let’s see how it unfolds.
A two-year Project.
My plan is to share one ‘thing’ a week which means that 100 things will take about two years to complete the sharing.
Each week I will post an article, a video and host a free webinar. Maybe a workshop will follow if there is any interest in a particular ‘thing’.
